About me

Maria Eugenia Serra
English-Spanish Translator and Project Manager

I am originally from Argentina, where I started learning English at a very young age. Being passionate about languages, literature and the arts, I decided to pursue a career in translation, a profession that would allow me to combine all these interests.

I obtained a five-year degree in English<>Spanish translation from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, and I moved to New Zealand soon after graduating in 2005. I have been providing professional translation services from English into Spanish and Spanish into English since then.

I worked as project manager and in-house translator for two different translation companies in Auckland for over a decade, before deciding to embark on a full-time freelance translator career. This experience has allowed me to gain an understanding of the translation business and world in all its facets.

As well as receiving a translation from a professional, qualified and experienced translator, you can rest assured that the translation will be fit-for-purpose and delivered in a timely manner in the appropriate layout.
